I've been playing for about 3 years and getting good. I just joined the Washington Area Dart Assoc. My team is C league which is ok. Won 9 bucks last night....... :TU:

I play league every wednesday night. I've been playing league for about 5 years now. I still don't have the consistency I'd like to have, but I do alright.

How do they rank the players/set the leagues out there?

I think we're kinda old-school using a CDA (cumulative dart average). You get points for each feat you throw like a ton, hat trick, 4 round out, etc., then that point value is divided by the number of games you've thrown. It accumulates over the year. When you sign up a team, last year's ending CDA for the highest rated player of each team is used. The bottom eight teams are the first league, next eight teams make the next, etc. etc.

I'm on a team so for every game you win, it's a point for the team.
Singles play 301 nad cricket...best of 3 games

Doubles play 401 or Cricket...best of three games

then there is a team game called 701.....easy in... double out, one game

I thought our setup was kinda different from average. You're ranked entirely on games won? Nothing at all about feats? wow.

That would certainly help stop sandbagging. Our system rewards sandbagging, that's my only complaint with it. If you never throw over 99 points, you stay ranked as an entry-level player no matter how good you become. And a win is actually the lowest level feat - its only worth one point towards your CDA (a ton is 2, hat trick is 5 .... up to 20 pts for a 6-dart out).

My team plays straight 301, 13 games per match. There are separate leagues for 301-Cricket split (9 games of each) & Cricket-only(13). Masters level I think throws 501 instead of 301. I don't think we have any 701 or 901 leagues. I'm nowhere near that level! We'd probably be considered a good D team or C team under your system.
