I watched bits and pieces of the game, but I really can't get into football when it's 89 degrees here. I'll start watching when November rolls around, just no time to sit in front of the tv with good weather still around, and lots of work to do before we move. BUT, I've been a Vikes fan since the Joe Kapp days, which I barely remember.
I second that David!! I almost hate getting interested in football while it's still baseball season. ou: Been a Vikings fan since Chuck Foreman, Fran Tarkington, and the purple people eaters were on the field!! :TU: Today was nice, since my Dad's been a Cowboys fan forever. :Brow: Cowboys-Vikings have provided some really good games in the past!!
Yep, ya gotta LOVE kickin' some Cowboys butt!! We're still getting even for Staubach to Pearson... :spank: :spank:  :af:
Their most heart-breaking loss in recent memory has to be Gary Anderson's ONE missed field goal against the Falcons. The Falcons didn't do fans any favors in keeping the 15-1 Vikings out of the Super Bowl that year. Not after they got steamrolled in the SB.
Ya, our Bears seamlessly transitioned into the new season with their new coach Lovie, (Mrs. Howell?) By Blowing leads, penalties for over 100 yards, turnovers that cost points and of course doing victory dances for everything from simple tackles to making the occasional first down  1 down.....15 to go. And once again "Papa Bear" George Halas is spinning in his grave D.
Indiana Vinkings Fan big time Been a vikings fan for 35 years and have said maybe next year, I think that long. Well maybe this year, we sure have the talent. I remember the good old days of Chuck Foreman, Fran Tarkington, and the purple people eaters were on the field!! Now it's Culpepper, Moss, Hovan and Moe Williams may the vikes win this super bowl. Dave
I watched quite a bit of the Husker game the other day. Kinda reminded me of Stoops' first year. Alot of potential, alot of mistakes. Next year...National Champions. Give 'em time to adjust to all the changes. :TU:
Not next year... I see a lot of potential in the offense, but it will not be next year. Callahan will need to get a team in that is recruited for this particular offenses. The team that is in place is recruited for the option offense, not a passing offense. They sure went downhill since Dr. Tom left. We'll see what happens in 2 - 3 years. o No: Looks like we'll have to rely on the defense again this year. Maybe they can keep most of the games close.
