One way to do this is ditch the hood and get a fiberglass cowl hood. then put a nice big spacer on there and get a boatload of velocity. screamin.

You can fit a 1" or 2" tapered spacer under that carb, for use at the track, with NO air cleaner.:)

why do it is my question if you put on a SP3 why would you worry about street manners when it is going towards race engine status. Oh I get it now that is for the ones that want the SP3 look but really want to stay as a stock engine.

I can't wait to stick in this solid lifter cam so I can spin these heavy ars forged pistons and 73 capscrew rods to 6500 and see if I can send them thru the pan. whoops did I say that ?

Because nobody else seems to be able to do it? This is my Mt. Everest :D

Why can't you have both street manors (as much as possible) and race status (as much as possible)? I'd bet most people her spend more time on the street than the track. You can't even taunt people to get to the track! ;)

No but you can taunt them on the highway
I guess it is the same with the solid lifter cam, Mt. Everest

I would want a carb on there if I stab it to the floor it Better respond or it is all over.
