    Is this the new POR15????????

I pulled this off a Paints and Coatings site:

In the tech file, I admit - I hate rust. My hobby of auto restoration means I am forever chasing the tin worm. Thanks to the innovation of our industry new rust curtailing coatings are introduced every year.

Now while nothing but working down to bright metal and carefully recoating is good enough for a classic Duesenberg, Bugatti, Isotta or Hispano, the value of more humble mounts may preclude that investment.
Acidic preparations that dissolve the rust and deposit a layer of electroless nickel or tin have been around for years, but they require careful neutralization and immediate coverage with proprietary coatings. They are not great looking, and do not take well to other body working compounds.
Being confronted with this problem, I noticed a release for a new product. Rust Bullet is a one-step product that coats over rusty or clean metal to control corrosion without the need for special surface preparation, and has received two patents from the United States Patent Office on its two new technologies, according to the manufacturer.

The product was originally invented by a Los Angeles inventor to protect U.S. Air Force jet wingtips from abrasion during flight. When the coating is applied to corroded metal, it does not form a film immediately; it first penetrates to the original metal surface and then combines the rust and coating. Its method of protection dehydrates, or dries out the rust by a chemical activity, allowing the resin to solidify into a tough coating with good adhesion characteristics. The rust becomes intertwined in the resin matrix and remains a permanent part of the coating. A second coat covers pinholes remaining, and it can be shot with high-build primer and worked like the rest of the paint job. Additionally, the stuff is not supposed to lift, blister, or peel away from its leading edge in any significant degree. Is Rust Bullet a "magic bullet.

I have not used it but have talked to several others who have. It is similar to POR15 without the cleanup hassles from what I've heard.
