I tried just to order a catalog and can't even get that! It's going on 5 weeks and it's not even shipped yet. I'm wondering how they would be with parts if they cant even get a catalog out within a month.
The times I have been in LA buying parts from OPGI I had the impression that the man behind the desk did not know what he was selling. He could have worked at Kmart instead. I tried to ask him things about the cars and different parts but he had no knowledge about it (GTO stuff). I might just been unlucky but that is my experience with OPGI.
I have a buddy that deals with them pretty often and he has had good luck.. Bend there ear a little bit!! I did take them a long time to get me a catalog the first time but they said they were out and getting new ones made and they were taking a long time to get on done.. They even were sending me there promotion papers on sales before I recieved it.. Call them and find out what is going on? Maybe thay are getting them updated again..If you don't hear what you want talk to there supervisor..If it will be a while to get one, I can send you a copy..they are open 7:30-5:00 est. Randy
Good prices but slow shipments and frequently their stuff is back ordered. Some other brand A body parts they just assume are the same for Buicks when they do not interchange. Many do but some do not.
I've used them twice in 2005, both times I received shipments within 2 weeks and had no items on back order. The items were well packaged too so no damaged parts. I do remember waiting for my initial catalog but I've usually looked up their items online since it was keep up to date with new items. Included in my last order was their updated catalog. My two cents! Matt
I have ordered from them 2 times and both times half my order was back ordered. I'm not getting that warm fuzzy feeling ordering from them. Just my $.02 worth.
opgi i bought a bunch of stuff about 3 mo ago,no problems,no b/o,came in 4-5 days.i just got their new catalog on tuesday.
Nick, I attempted to order a catalog from their website, it still shows 'processing'. I placed the order 8 months ago. I also couldn't get anyone on the phone when I tried to call (twice). I just figured I'll order elsewhere. My 2 Cents, Harry
I ordered a trunk drop and was charged over 60 bucks ,but it was wrong and they gave me attitude and wanted me to foot the bill to return it,so No more Bignasty purchases. Rip-off in my opinion... :spank: :spank:
My experience with them has been pretty good. Not great but pretty good. Most of the stuff I've gotten has been pretty tight with respect to the quality. I've ordered... Convertible top Carpet Seat covers Door sills Weather stripping Door panels and most have either been at their store or was delivered rather quickly. I do have some stuff from a couple of weeks ago on back order but IMHO that comes with the territory. To whoever had a problem with the guy behind the counter, good to know. Maybe I was lucky with who I got because he knew his stuff. I will say that one of the products I bought is utter crap. THe Interior Pillar Molding is horribly out of whack. Too short yet a lot thicker without any holes placed and missing a piece that snaps into the pillar. o No: ou: Chris
They're not the greatest company, but they're ok. Most of time when I've ordered the stuff was on backorder for three months. They sent me a chevelle/el camino catalog for some reason though...
I ordered something last Saturday and it hasnt shipped yet. I checked and its in stock. Usually I order from Year1, a little (ok a lot) more expensive but I get it next day via ground shipping. When OPGI finally ships it will take me a week to get it. 2 weeks vs 1 day. Matt
2 weeks? I should have been so lucky to get my trunkmat in two weeks! Three months of waiting, only to get it and find out that the damn thing was manufactured by R.E.M. in PENNSYLVANIA.
I ordered the catalog online, tried to email them, no reply. I don't think I would ever order parts from them, even if I ever get the catalog. I think I'll stick to The Parts Place and Year One. I have used Year One in the past when I had my Charger and they were good, just pricey. I'm just dying to start working on my Buick! Plus with a baby due in 2 weeks or so, I hope I'll have time for the car too!!
I've had their reproduction convert stainless moulding (around the back) on backorder for 16 months!!!!! they also sent me a GTO emblem instead of the 'skylark' trunk emblem, I followed the instructions to return it but no correct emblem back..... Been busy with life but its high time I 'try' to get on the phone--- A sales rep told me about a year ago they hadn't even started making the moulding yet, don't you love that?????
I vote to boycott OPGI. I know Buick's probably not their "hottest" selling items, but c'mon. If a company wants your business they shouldn't act like this.
Amen. I've got quite a bit of shopping to do for my Stage 1 project and this outfit is now at the bottom of the list.
I have had many items out of stock, still waiting for valve cover decals over a month, also their shipping and handleing is a bit pricey
