There is what looks to be a really nice 1974 Fleetwood that's for sale down the street from where I work. Its classic Caddy black, 70K original 1 owner miles supposedly. Owner asking $7000. Anyone know if that sounds right? It ain't gonna happen, but its nice to think about  .

Like any other GM car of the > 72 era.....HP was way down compared to just a few years prior.....but its prolly got the 500 in it and just like our '76 455's can be pumped up, so can the Caddooo

I think 7K might be a bit high but i dont know the market

    I'm gona say that's high. I have a friend who recently bought a 70,000 mi 78 for about $4000. I wouldn't think that a 74 should be worth $3k more...

73Electra 225, is it the 60 Special or the 75 series. The 60 special was more common in the Brougham line. 75 series was like a limo in size, if you know what I mean. It would probably have the 472 CID motor. It might have the 500 CID and either way both engines were torque monsters for their time. Very nice car and like the 74 Buick 225, it was the heaviest car that GM had built up to that time.
$7k is a little high, but its like anything else- what is it worth to you. If its pristine and you want it, then get it, BUT around here the 74-76 Cat's in really good shape are only bringing 4-5k and that is with the de'Elegance interior package. 74 is a nice looking yr, still had the round headlights before they went to the rectangulars. As with any 71-76 Caddy- it will rattle, even though it was GM's "mark of excellance"- the interior build quality wasnt all that great back then. But they did have some awesome looking interiors, not like the bland stuff they have today.
