Anyone near Chicago have a full sized 71 -76 that they'd be willing to let me look at? I wanted to get a polyurethane front end kit, but I can only find one for the 71 and up Buicks. Actually, if anyone had a 70 full sized Chevy that'd work too, as they offer it for that, but say it won't work in my Buick. o No: I say, "wtf?!?" But whatever, I don't want to spend cash on something that I don't know if it'll work. Any help would be really appreciated. I guess pics with dimensions might work too, but whatever. :grin: Thanks in advance.
Hate to tell you this, but the 71-up won't work on your car. Totally different front suspension designs.... Not sure if the 70 Chevy kit would do either--I know through 70 at least some front suspension parts were division-specific.
Well, that just sucks. I figured that the 70 Chevy might be the same, but wasn't sure. I know the 71-76 were different, but I was hoping the bushings might interchange, that's all. I'd really like to have a polyurethane front end, as opposed to rubber, so I'd like to make this work somehow.
I've checked pretty much all the major performance suspension places, and none carry anything for the 69-70 full sized cars. Which is why I was interested in seeing other suspension setups to see if I could adapt stuff from theirs.
