To me the Dodge Rams are the best looking trucks out there, but Chevy and fords are better trucks IMHO! Bob H.
I dont pay any attention. The Tundra looks like a Dodge looks like a Chevy, Ford, I hate Prius's Name is stupid
looks almost exactly like the new gmc. not a fan of the this blocky transformer look. dodge and fords still look good to me.
I don't care for it, but it's a truck, so who cares? I feel like Toyota design has grown increasingly terrible and gimmicky over the last 10 years. I tried explaining my feelings about this at the dealer a couple of years ago, and the salesmen was so gung ho he couldn't even hear what I was saying (he was probably 12). "it's so cool, right?" ... Uh, no. To me that grill looks like a cow catcher, but I am pretty sure it's not up to that task.
Looks like a child designed the front end, they all look that way, too many angles, lines, vent pockets/holes/ports, lets make the headlights look squinty like somebody just squirt lemon juice in your face. Better yet to look tough, make it look like Lego Blocks. Passed a new Bronco on the highway yesterday, UGLY! Ahh, whatever.
Toyota seems to be the originator of’ANGRY ROBOT SMASH!! school of design. They’ve beaten everything they build with the same ugly stick (and apparently told Lexus ‘do the same, but with angles and a grill that looks like a burst wound’.) The new Tundra looks like they bought the new GMC and said ‘most of it’s ugly enough, but we can do much worse with the nose-just watch’. Patrick
I'm thinking the designers were batman fans. And yeah, it's ugly. Guess they're trying to take the fugly trophy from the Silverado HD.
I really like the redesigned Toyota because it means our new Chevrolet 3500HD will no longer be the ugliest truck on the road!
I wanna say the new Chevies took some design cues from old school trucks. I was trying to find the year with the nameplate across the center of the grill though, I know there was a year they did that and not late 50's either but right in this range.
