A mere $114.5K will get you into this lovely 17 footer.

I wouldn't mind a Buick powered boat, but it'd be a 60's flat bottom V-drive :beers2: "Very very fast" ? I'd be surprised if that Glen-L could break 60 mph.

Hey guys, we could probably make our own for only $5,000 or less! And then sell it for $100,000 and undercut this guy!

The three dudes pictured with the boat don't exactly help boost it's appeal:spank: .

Homemade? Now if it was a Gar Wood that would be a different story. Would be interesting to know about the bell housing for the motor though.

Glen L still has a web site. A lot of neat looking old wood boat designs. Looking around on their forum, looks like a lot of guys use the 215 or 300 Buick or a V-6. Looking at their hardware page, not a lot of old Nailhead parts, you'd have to pick that stuff used I guess. Like I said earlier, it'd be neat to have an old flatbottom and put a Buick in it just to be different :pp Just what I need though, another project! Got a boat on the side of the house that hasn't been in the water since July 2009 :(

It looks like a pretty cool boat, but the price is CRAZY!

Feedback is 100%, so that is a plus. I agree I don't care to see hands, feet, fingers or whole people in auctions. All it does is make me go on to the next one.

I'm digging the old truck trailer in the last photo. :beer It's probably from the 50's or 60's. That and what I think is a 64 Chev beside the boat.

Gee and I dont even have to wonder what my large frame and gut would look like riding around in that bad boy. pretty cool but not at that price.

i wish i could marinize a buick engine. unfortunately there aren't any parts that would fit a buick 350 or anything else. i'm really surprised to see that 401. need at the very least exhaust manifolds and the flywheel cover-transom adapter to go to an outdrive. looks like they are able to scroung up parts from the ancient buicks, but cmon. there are tons of chevy 350's and 305, and older chrysler 318's. the buick 351w i have is difficult enough or at least more expensive, as is the 302 for marine parts. i'm in the middle of marinizing a truck's 351w to replace the one that took on water in the boat. if only i could've done a buick, that boat would MOVE :)
