Are repro 70-72 deck lids any good!

Hi folks,

I need a deck lid. Should I look for a rust-free used one? How many places sell the repro deck lid, who are they, and are the lids any good or more trouble than they're worth??

I've got a blue 71, VGC; been painted twice; original plus one repaint. I'm in Bennettsville SC (About 120 miles). PM if interested.

 

I bought one, don't recall who made it, bought it form a Chevelle shop. Had a real time getting the lock cylinder and retainer to work. Got it eventually but I had a good used one on the old clone that would have been easier to use :grin:

 

Should not be an issue finding a good condition used one always better than a repo
