is the chevy turbo 400 the same as the buick turbo 400? also will the turbo 400 beable to built up to my 401 nailhead and if it does can it hold all the torque i will be putting out if i make maybe any were from stock raitings witch is what 350 to what i want to make 400hp?
The only difference will be the bellhousing bolt pattern. However, the 401-425 nailhead engines have their own bolt pattern and neither a Chevy nor "traditional" Buick (BOP pattern) trans will bolt up. you need one with a nailhead bellhousing bolt pattern. A properly-built TH 400 will hold up to anythjng a 401 can throw at it.
