Does anyone know where i can get some performance front disc brakes for my 69 wildcat? these stock brakes dont really stop my car as much as i would like, and everything with them is fine, and since im upgrading to discs on the back, i figues i would look for better brakes on the front, because something it telling me its bad to have the majority of the stopping power on the rear of the car. Anyone know or heard of any place that makes high performance front discs for our B Body cars? anyone know of any other way to upgrade the front brakes? thanks
I don't think anyone makes any disc parts for our cars. It's taken me years just to find a B-Body disc setup for my car! I can't even find a spare set of calipers! Paul
I didnt realize that the disc brakes were so rare, i took them for granted when i bought my car with them. it doesnt seem they stop very well though..? ill check his site. thanks
My dad ordered his 69 cat with discs up front, its taken me 20 years to realize it was very special, I won't tell you what happened to the car I get sick thinking about it, now I know why i divorced that woman.....
Try This place There is a Place called Scarebird Disc brake conversions, I see them on Ebay and the make a Bracket for older Buicks and they use all GM Calipers and rotors. I am sorry I can't find the link for them. I will try and find it and post it if I can. Don
I Hope this works They Say it will work on a 1969 Wildcat The Item # is 229936941034 They use 71-76 Rotors from a Rivera and Calipers from a 1990 to 2003 Astro Van to make it a simple Bolt on with out any machine work, I hope this helps? Don
that is another option. i found another wildcat, this one im working on is my brothers, i just might buy it and if it has drums up front those are going on it :TU: they might even make it onto this car. thanks
www.scarebird.com will have the brkts you need. When going to discs...you will need the correct proportioning valve. You can use one from any full size GM car from 71-76
