Back spacing ???

    Can someone tell me what the back spacing is on a factory 15" chrome wheel. Doing some homework, Thanks.............

    I believe on a 15x7 rim it's 4".

    I restored a set w/ good chrome (painted the centers) a few years ago and measured backspacing with a straightedge across the back, came up with 4 3/8. Granted these are mid '70s wheels. The GSX wheels (WG code?) seem to have a bit more offset.
    A guy at Specialty Wheels in Portland, OR claimed 15x7's had 4 1/4 backspacing so ?????
