Been putting the timing cover back on my motor. Had my fuel pump laying off to the side, and picked it up, upside down. When I did so, stinky stuff ran out these holes. Are these like weep holes in a water pump, showing if I have a leak in the pump, or something else? Would like to know if I need to replace this pump or not.
Probably just some nasty condensation. If the diaphram goes bad, gas will leak out of there. The pumps probably fine, but why not replace it anyway, they're really cheap, good preventative maintenance.
