Due to other things taking priority in my life, my '66 GS, '87 Turbo T and C5 have to go. I had planned on selling the C5 anyway so it didn't bother me, but losing my Buicks kind of upsets me. How would you guys go about finding good homes for these cars? And the garage filled with Buick parts? I'm not happy about this but sometimes life works in strange ways. At least I'm keeping my '88 Park Ave(daily driver).
Darn Artie, This really stinks. Can we help out somehow so you can keep one? Can you tell us whats happened?
Dan, I'm selling the C5 and '87 first and trying to work a way to keep the GS as it's my favorite. If I can move out my parts collection it may be possible, I think. My father is sold his house(I rent the bottom half) and I have to move, so I am losing storage as well as parking. I am trying to locate a new residence as we speak, I haven't been in the Engineering field since last November when they eliminated my department(Automated Systems) at the company I was working at. I've had to fall back on my Auto Tech certifications and experience, and the money isn't quite enough. It's mostly my own fault, for holding out for top dollar on the Vette and making the $815 a month payment in the meanwhile. I whittled away my savings by doing so, and shouldn't have bought the C5's replacement(Turbo T) until I sold the C5. A series of bad moves on my part is what did it, and only I am to blame.
Artie, real bummer! Hang in there, it will work out for you, I know you're no quitter. Best of luck to you.
Put up an ad on all the corvette forums and include everything you've done to it/time slips. Someone will buy it for the asking price.
