Guy on Moparts has posted some pictures of his buddy's 1970 SS454 / 4 speed that has been in the barn since 1975. He has 9 pictures posted of it so far. His buddy is not selling it. His buddy is "gonna fix it up one day". His buddy needs to be beaten to a pulp for letting this happen! :blast: He is looking for the possible current value of the car. I wonder why(?) if his buddy isn't going to sell. Hmmmmmmmm...... Wonder if he gets some resonable ideas from the gallery, he might try and use it to leverage his buddy off of his butt to DO SOMETHING with the car........ That is a real shame! It looks like the garage will eventually just collapse on it and destroy it. The car is through the flooring and the cinder blocks are all cracked. Looks like a great resto project that will probably just turn into a parts car....
The car looks to be untouched as it states so I wouldn't think someone would change the tach. The tach is incorrect for an LS6. I sure would like to know where the car is because it is mostly original looking, even the tires.
How can those guys on the Chevelle site dismiss the car as an LS-6 just because it has the incorrect tach? Who knows how that tach got in there. I would certainly need more proof than just that. A friend of mine has a 4 speed 442 sitting in similar condition to that Chevelle. Its interesting talking to people who have these cars just sitting and rusting away. They're convinced that one day they will restore them. Theyre not concerned that the car is deteriorating . As my friend says... "Its got to be restored anyway so whats the difference?" . The 442 in question has been sitting outside for over 15 years under a dilapidated portable garage with a plastic shower curtain covering the rear window. Last time I saw it, the once rust free quarter panels were rotting off the car. The shame of it was at one time a nice looking daily driver.
