BB Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission. This has sat in my shed for the last 15+ years. I don't know if it works so I'm selling it as needs a rebuild. What you see is what you get; no dip stick, no dip stick tube. Located west of Akron, OH. I can take it to the GSCA event at Bowling Green, KY the week of Oct 20th but will need cash up front. $150/offer Lon
In line as well Beside the BB stamped at bottom of tag will be 71 or 72 ..what is it can not see in posted pic Regardless, this trans is Not correct for 70 GS
This tranny is from a later car, (maybe Century or wagon) and is not from a Stage 1. The blue BB tag trannys were used in other models through the '70s.
Lon...might be interested if it will work in a 70 -72 GS btw you should come out my way on saturday nights to the car show here so I'm not the only Buickray:
Gary, Just to keep this alive...rjohns hasn't gotten back with me yet. I'm following the board rules. This is a short shaft T400 and should work in the 70-72 GS. That was my original intentions when I picked it up. So what car show on Sat nights; the one off SR42? I haven'e been up there in a few years. Are there still shows going on now? We only have a few weeks before that white stuff starts to fly. Make me an offer; it could be yours. Lon
Hey Lon i will store it now if it gets to me say 100? since I'm sitting on a 455 already needing a tranny LOL Now if I can find a true 70-72 GS vert I will be set....Yes on SR 42 in laurel square plaza! Its also pretty decent turn out. I went two weeks ago when it was nice and yes the turn out was pretty good. I will be going Saturday if the weather permitsray:
