What kind of pistons are generally accepted.I'm sure nothing light weight but what are you guys using? I guess any legal stocker piston right?

    Pretty much.

Anything that has the head design and weight. There is not a replacement piston listed for my car so I purchased the off the shelf units closest to the originals I had. Flat top with valve reliefs.

Could not use the originals.....needed an overbore and they had the pesky oil ring groove cracks common with 427 low risers.

I have the Speed Pro forged pistons in my motor, they are acually heavier than the stock GM ones........

yep, TRW forged, 30 over. I'd like to build a motor with a set of the original W-31 pistons I have, but who knows when that'll happen.

Yes I did, that dual disk, aluminum flywheel, slipper clutch is my favorite though.

    Oops, I was embelishing.

    Yea, that does sound better.

Really though, I'll give you a call regarding the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch on the shelf.

How about connecting rods? Are aftermarket rods allowed?
