Bell Housing Bolt Finish?

Bell housing mounting bolt finish for a 70 GSX 4 speed needed. I cannot find our old didscussion about this.

Black oxide or silver?

 

I don't know if this helps, but the 70 Wildcat I stripped in April was all original and had black oxide on the TH400. I would assume the bolts for bellhousing would be the same for 400 or 4 spd.

The 2 70 4 speed car I've had were black oxide. My TH400 cars are black also's. Might have had something to do with hardening? o No:

I am going to batch some bolts for a plate job. I may try black zinc for durability.
