That is the ugliest Buick motor I have ever seen. I would call it a boat anchor, but there is enough oil in the Gulf right now.

Yea, since it's a Pontiac Motor (400?) and has post 1966 Valve Cover's, it'll fit that Firebird just Fine..... :TU:

In the days before internet, you might have actually wasted your time looking at stuff that wasn't even close to being what was described by the seller. In the case of this rare engine, the photo is worth a thousand words! How can he know it runs great and doesn't even know what make of V8 engine he is selling? Stolen maybe. Stupid. No doubt.

When I bought my car I mentioned that it had the Olds 307 in it and the guy selling it asked "how do you know" and then looked at it closer to try and find it writen on the air cleaner. I had to explain the difference between the Olds and Buick motor and he didn't sound convinced. That's how I knew he never did any maintanance on it since he'd never find the right plugs or filters for an '84 Buick 5.0
