Hi all, any suggestions??? I am rebuilding my Buick 350 this winter, and I have a 1 year old Q-Jet. If I just leave the carb in my basement will all the gasket's dry out without gas or will it be just fine??
Hi If its only going to be for the winter it will probably be okay. But for long term storage Ive always used Marvel Mystery Oil. Just drain the gas out. Fill it with some MMO slosh it around a bit and pump it though the squirters. Then seal it in a plastic bag. When youre ready to use it just drain out the Marvel and youre good to go. Ive been doing this for years and it works great.
