No, I just went to a dealer that sells BFG tires and they did the rest.

Our purchase date was in that window 09/15/2014. However , the tires were manufactured 11/2013. So they won’t cover the 10 month old * new * tires they sold us .

Mine fell into the date range. They offered me 25% off a new set.

Maybe they offer percentage off by age or wear? Mine are 2019 date but little wear. Haven’t made it in yet to see what they’d offer.

Mine were made in 2017 and the bluing on the letters was nearly impossible to remove (even with sand paper) and then they turned turn dark yellow or brown in a few days. I complained to BFG right after buying them, but eventually gave up after being told it was normal/how to clean them/etc. Sometime later they came out with that bulletin but I was tired of the hassle. I just won't buy Radial T/A's ever again. Is what it is.

It's a good point. Just checking on tire rack.
    BFG 225/70 14" $178
    Cooper Cobra 225/70/14 $143
So even with 25% off, Cooper are about the same price. Nice inflation like everything else. Those were $80 a couple years ago.

Thanks to this thread I was able to get 80% credit for (4) 2016 tires. The first step was calling customer care and they tried to tell me they were outside of the six year warranty. I reminded them of the notification of browning white letters on their website. They assigned me a claim number. I originally bought them from the Columbus Jegs store and they were most helpful with reaching out to BF Goodrich after they checked tread depth. I had to buy new tires and send the receipt, vehicle registration, and pics of the new tires on the car. I bought the tires Friday and received payment today through direct deposit. This is a before and after of the original rears after cleaning. IMG_5808.jpeg

So you called Michelin/BF Goodrich customer care first to get claim number and then took that claim number to tire place?

Maybe I will take a stab at replacement. I have little confidence in humanity to do the right thing, but hell if I could get 80% covered I might just do it. Do you have to return the old tires?
