Just went up on www.streetdreamstexas.com and found a '71 for sale at $38,500. Nice enough car, but apparently not a stage car (but it has a decal!) and has a wing on it. Anyone know any history on it?

Another local muscle car dealer has had a GS 350 and a GSX non-stage car, priced high, on their web site for the better part of a year. www.corvettesandclassics.net

Just wondering if anyone is seeing our cars going for this kind of $. I'm pretty sure a locally owned VERY nice '70 GSX 455 resto was sold to a fellow in OK, right after the resto was finished. Understand it went for $33,000 to the owner of the GSX with the VIN one number before the VIN of the car purchased. Now he has two with sequential VIN #'s. That adds a special value and the car is really nice.

Outside of something like that, are these dealers smokin' something??? :3gears:

Don't much about the car except that it has been for sale for probably 6 months to a year. I remember seeing it on ebay a long time ago, but I don't remember if they were selling it or if that was when they bought it.

Seems it was in the teens then, maybe low twenties at best.

    Nice!

Wonder who did the restro? For that money you would think you could get a NOS oil pan, Dust Cover, and Trans pan.... :(

I see the GS is sale pending but....I wonder if or how they really sell these.......
The descriptions and info they provide is incorrect.
The Blue 70 Oldsmobile they are asking a whopping $34,500 is advertised as "with W-30 Options" As with a Stage1, it either is.... or is not a W-30. The engine is painted what looks like a 1965 and older light blue and the best part is it has the wrong interior, Supreme interior, not available for an S body style.
The Rallye Red Oldsmobile has the correct S interior, but that color was a special order color on A bodies and they state otherwise. There were 4 special order colors in 1970, Nugget Gold, Aegean Aqua for all models and Rally Red, (an Orange Red), and Sebring Yellow for A bodies only.
    thx for the link
