    Sorry for the duplicate thread...

Im looking for a new package tray (or package tray material) for my 67 2dr Wildcat. My Electra had a spiffy wire mesh type deal that looked great, but the Electra tray is smaller than the Wildcat because of the different roof profile.

Anyone know a good source for pre-made trays or at least raw materials? Most everything I see online is for A Body cars.

    Thanks in advance,

Yeah, if anybody knows anything that'd work for this, I need to replace this on my car too...

(Sorry I can't answer your thread, I'm just hoping for info too!)

You can go to just about any Automotive upholstery shop and they will have the material, If I am not mistaken it is about a 1/16 to 3/32 thick. There is a place near me that I got a new package tray made up for about 50 bucks. I took what was left of my old one and the made a new one for me, I had to do a little "SHAVING" to get it to fit right, But it came out pretty good. You can also use masonnite that is sold at any lumber yard or Home depot and make tour own. Let me know if I can help.

I bought material quite a few times from SMS auto fabrics and I was always satisfied with them until I bought the mesh for the package tray for my 65 Wildcat (the exact same material was used in my 67 Wildcat, 68 Wildcat, 74 LeSabre and 75-76 Electra). The material was not even close to the look of the original and half of the roll was defective so there was not enough left to cover the small parcel shelf on my 65. I contacted them and told them it was defective and not correct, they told me to send a piece of that defective part as well as a piece of my original (which I did) and they'd send me a sample of the correct thing.
I waited about two months but I had no news. They found that they didn't send it to the correct adress and their envelope was returned to them. This was OK for me as they finally sent me (two other different samples!) of the "thing that matched exactly" mine but the problem was that it didn't... and It wasn't even close! When I called them to ask for my money back, they refused to credit me and the wanted me to send back the complete roll of defective material which I had thrown away (this was months after) since it was defective and unusable (and I already sent them a sample of it).
I told them that I bought there quite a few times and had recommended to other people to deal with them but I won't do it anymore... At least not for package tray material.

My 67 Olds Delmont 88 2dr hardtop has the deluxe mesh type package tray and the same fastback roofline as the Wildcat. I bought a replacement tray from Ames Performance that fit and matched the original perfectly. The fold at the rear is pre-formed and the speaker areas are perforated. It is listed for all 1967 full size Pontiac 2 dr ht except Grand Prix, part #PA475 (plus the color code), $49 with the jute padding, $39 without.
BTW, in my experience Ames has excellent customer service, too. www.amesperf.com

Thanks everyone for the help. I found an interior fabrics shop in Ypsilanti that had the hardboard material for $10. Fits fine until I decide to do something different:
