Big weekend plans

Discussion in 'The Bench' started by GranSportSedan, May 25, 2019.

  1. I planned on getting down to business this weekend as far as my Buick is concerned. I walked out to the garage this morning and realized I can't do anything until I make some space to work and get rid of the clutter. I got the work bench cleaned and one side of the garage organised. Tomorrow will be spent on the other side.. I had intended on disassembling the 66 GS in the driveway but it's pouring rain and I don't want to get wet. Don't let the pictures fool you, that's a two car garage. 20190525_143454.jpg 20190525_143447.jpg 20190525_143441.jpg

With a manly car you need manly space. Looking at a place down the street with a 50 x 10o+ x 20' overhead door. Thats enough room for the cars, chopper and the 40 boat ! Dream big guys!

Im still fumigated about them guys on the Garage Shows with 4 or 5 shiny streetrods in the "mane cave" with a big screen on the wall for the "big game" and a n oak bar while they are working on their cars; you know, putting on the second coat of Meguiars... With rubber gloves no less. ws

So for la pièce de résistance, I think we as a group turn out some pretty nice stuff. As opposed to the other guys with "an open checkbook". ws

The guy across the street has one like that. Complete with two four-post lifts, refrigerator, bar, all sorts of car-related signs on the wall (mostly illuminated) a floor that would look great in Windsor castle (especially since it has a British flag painted on it), etc.

A LIMEY eh? You know where that term came from right? Just a fair warning: Pats in Cape Coral for the week with her wrecking crew! Renting a nice big house on a canal. Look out for BIG BLACK dorf suburban thing with Virginia tags on it! ws

  7. My shop isn't large by any means but I do have a nice smooth floor, decent stereo with big speakers and itsi heated and air conditioned with insulated walls and door. Lighting isn't too bad either. At one time I had my 67 special and a 70 GS in there.. it was a bit tight
