    Keith,
    is the 29" tire best mounted on a 15 x 8 with 4" BS?

what do you guys run for slicks? I bought a GN roller with weld draglitess and slicks. I've got to check the tire size, but i'm pretty sure they are 28" tall. I can't even get one finger between the sidewall and the frame up front...doesn't seem safe to me.... Car is track only and should run well into the 11's with a BBB. I don't want to cut the car up. What fits with what backspace?

Its all in the rim and offset a 275/60/15 will fit easily and a 295/50/15 may fit but since GM didnt have tight tolerances on the frames they may rub on one side on the inner and the other out. also depends on how the stance of your car is. as far as slick the far easist fit is a 9 inch slick on a 8 inch rim. if i remember correctly the back space is 3 1/2. just remember if you use the street stlye slick ( et streets or hoosier dot pro ) they are measured differently and you can use a 28/10/15 slick in those

17"x8" TorqThrust II with 4" BS and 245/45-17 Falkens. No issues at all, plus corners so much better.

275-60-15 i do not remember the backspace? They are the star jegs brand 15x8's . m/t et street radials.. the regular street tire fit the same

I had to move the rear end over some though, as mentioned before, the frames suck.
