You adjust the yoke on the rod, not the piston itself I don't recall which hole I used, but to my way of thinking, which hole I would pick would be moot- the one which gives proper pedal travel AND good brake feel is the one I'd go with, since the m/c may look the ssame as the original, but may be of a different design inside
