    Later models require you to yank fender. Hope your's is easier!

    Our old '68 required pulling the fender. :Dou:

    Is it dead, or just squealing because it's cold and the bearing is dry? (love that sound - fingernails on chalkboard!)

    We could get to the motor, but didn't want to pull the fender, so we drilled a little hole in the "bump" over the shaft end, shot some spray grease in, followed up with some WD-40 to help it penetrate, and presto, quiet blower motor! Cover the hole w/ a dab of pooky or duct tape, and away you go...repeat once per year, or as necessary.

    Well, the guy I bought the car from said the air and heat worked until about a month before I bought it from him so its hard to tell just whats wrong, he said it was the blower motor but hard to tell really, hell it may not have worked the whole time he had it...ideas what to check first? besides fuse's, it has factory air, I noticed the is 2 vac hoses broke off the valve above the blower motor on the housing.

    Yeah, but is his AC/heater/blower installed the same as yours? I know he's had most of his system apart and might be able to help you, if the two are similar.

    Blower motor

    Hi;
    I have a 65 Skylark and had to take the blower out about 3 weeks ago.
    I'm not sure if the 65 is similiar to the 66 or not, but it was easy enough to take the blower/fan assembly out.
    On mine the fan was loose from it's adaptor, so I took it off of the motor and put it in a press tightened it back up.

    I'm gonna just wait on it...I'll have everything stripped off the car by this weekend so I'll be able to get to the motor easy, I'm still not sure thats the real problem, but I'm gonna go ahead and put a new motor in it since I'll be able to get to it so easy, heck they don't cost much so I might as well go on and do it. Thanks for everyones help on this....:TU:
