I'm trying to do a semi-finish assy of the front sheet metal. I got it assembled today, but none of the parts are painted either.
So, once the inner and outer fender are in finish paint, how to assemble?
    1) Bolt inner fender to outer fender and assemble as unit.
    2) Bolt inner fender to core support area, then add outer fenders.
    3) Bolt on outer fender, pull front wheels and snake the inner up from wheel well.
    4) HULK SMASH!

I did #3 and am concerned with the pulling, yanking, shaking and swearing that goes with method once finishes are done and scratches are a worry.

I’m looking forward to an answer to that question also. Years ago I did it #3. It worked and I didn’t scratch anything, but it sure wasn’t easy either. I actually laid on my back if I remember correctly and kicked it in. I know, I was sweating bullets!

    Install core support loosely.
Install inner fenders onto outer fenders.
    Install fender assemblies.
    Install hood.

You say the front sheetmetal is not painted ...... Is the body, doors and deck lid painted???? FYI all the body parts should be painted at the same time....
Reason. Air temp,,, Barometric pressure..... ETC ETC plays a roll in the end...

At this point it is not painted. I'm doing final fit assy to make sure everything lines up good and the doors are good.
Then it all comes back apart to paint door jambs and around the door.
Once Jambed, then re-assemble and final paint.

I see you & I are do things different,,,, 1st Doors will be fitted and removed ...
Then Body & all parts fully painted on a rotisserie and racks.
Then body on frame that's fully assembled completely with motor and trans....
Then with the doors off the inter parts get put in... only then will the doors get put on...
    Then the front goes on...
Only after the motor is wired and running and full of coolant. Basically the hood will be the last part to go on the car.
