questions for those who have replaced body bushing & twisted off some bolts..
i have commenced the process of replacing the body bushings in my 72 gs by removing the bushing bolts at the various positions.
    -core support bolts removed.
-at positions 1 & 2 (dash area) both sides, the bolts of course, just want to turn. thus i have to remove the fender liners on both sides.
will the liners remove easily or do i have to remove the fenders & liners together?
-in position 3 near below the doors, i twisted off the bolt on the driver's side . passenger side okay. was there provision for a cap or opening on the inside of the body(passenger compartment) to access that bushing location to remove the old nut & washer ?
-in position 6 bolts turn. will have to drill large enough hole from inside the trunk to access those nuts?
in position 7 at the very rear corners, the bolts just turn. guess i have to cut access holes to get at the nuts?
after all is said & done, what do i use to cover/plug these drilled/holes?
    tkx...

on my rears I made a 3 sided cut and folded it down for access...but not from the trunk area.
.....from the rear area where bumper would cover....then fold it back up and
    weld/seal

you can also try a triangular 2 sided cut and only have 2 sides 2 deal with :)

all my others unbolted with no problem

    pic for reference....

Start cutting. I would cut slices and peel the floor up over the bolts. It shouldn't be very big.. just hammer it down afterward and make it look as stock as possible. If those bolts spin, you have no choice but to cut the floor. The front 2 bolts at the base of the cowl are the only ones you can access the nuts. the inner fenders come out pretty easy, just be careful as to not mess up your paint on the inner part of the fenders. Or just try undoing a few of the bolts on the bottom of the fender and pull it back a bit to get to the nuts.

Torque the body bolts to 45 ft lbs. and it may be a good idea to use a small dab of blue locktight.

Also see if you can re-use or find new locking nuts for the firewall area. If you use the nuts and bolts in the kits they will loosen up on there own. As someone said maybe locktite however they locknuts would be better. AMK products sells the correct bolts and similair nuts.
