i would like to get .002-.003" endplay for the oil pump gears.i will be using a ta booster plate.i was wondering how much to expect for "crush" when everthing is torqued.the gears are .0045" out of the housing & the gasket supplied appears to be .009" thick. thanks in advance.
I believe there was a thread long ago that said .002 crush, so you should be in good shape with your gasket.
since i was curious,i bought a gasket through the gm dealer i work at ($2.00 CDN) just to check thickness.found it to be .008". at least now i have couple choices to work with. thanks
