The venue has changed. Got this email yesterday ... Hi everyone, If you receive this twice or have received this before, I apologize. We are trying to cover everyone who is or may be coming to BOPC this Saturday, October 24. Due to construction at Ace Cafe--the City of Orlando is tearing up the street--we are forced to move the BOPC 3 blocks south to the intersection of West Washington Street and North Garland Avenue. We believe this will be a great location on a totally paved site. We will have food trucks, clean restrooms, a great DJ, tents with tables and chairs, lots of Door Prizes, a demonstration by the Florida Sheriff's K-9 team, a Charity auction and 50-50 to support the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch, goodie bags for participants, and over 40 unique awards. To get to the intersection of N Garland Avenue and West Washington Street, downtown Orlando, FL From the west Exit 82B ramp eventually becomes N Garland Avenue at East South Streeta one way road heading north. Go through intersection at South Street, past Church Street Station to the intersection of West Washington Street (about 4 blocks) and the show will be in the lot on the northeast corner. From the east Exit 84 eventually becomes Hughey Avenue Southa one way road heading south. Go straight through intersection at Colonial Drive then continue south about 6 blocks to West Washington Street. Turn left on West Washington Street, go under overpass, BOPC Show will be on the northeast corner of N Garland Avenue and West Washington Street. Tell your friends about this great event. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Got an email yesterday that they changed the venue again. Now its down the street in a open parking lot. I wont be going. Gonna do something local
I was unaware of the show or I would have gone. A Poncho friend didn't go as he said it was slated for a bad area. Does anyone have any pics?
Im aware of one person from here that went, and he didnt stick around long. Said the there were not that many people there I was unexpectedly out of the country so I missed it too. What I heard was that OldTown wanted to charge the Olds club to hold the even there, so they moved it to Ace Cafe The city was in the process of some underground work right in front of the Ace Cafe lot, so it was moved to an empty lot close by.
I was there. They had about 90 cars, some nice ones. There were only 5 Cadillac so naturally a Cadillac got the most first place votes. A POS $5,000 Cadillac beat a concourse restored 34 Buick business coupe for best of show! These people need to think about the credibility of their show.
