TH400 built by FB performance trans in NY. Bruno DiPoalo had this trans rebuilt for me almost 8 years ago when he put the motor in my car. It has ran flawlessly since and still does. There is nothing wrong with this trans. For anyone that was in BG in 2010, this was in my Suncoupe that was in the BSA class. It lifted my tire with no problem. I am looking for my time slips to give my 60' times, but can't find them right now. I was running a Coan convertor that worked very well also. Only reason for selling is that I had already set myself up to put anouther TH350 in my car with other parts and decided to stick with those plans. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I do not know every detail about it, but can give any information requested that is possible for me to give. Slap your convertor in, I suggest new filter and fluid, and take off driving. Race capable for a street car. I was putting close to 470 HP and 530 torque through it. My best time was a 12.32 through manifolds in Adel, GA summer of 2010. $475 plus a ride takes it I will meet someone within 200 miles to deliver at no addional charge. In line. What mods were done to the trans and is it short shaft or long. Need it to go behind the Rivs new engine.
I talked to Bruno and he said that he took it to FB and told them to rebuild it and put a shift kit in for my car, it had a 1970 Stage 1 going in it. I do know this... It shifts nice and solid, it will not jerk you around - but a firm shift. It used to rip the tires loose going into second until I put the bigger tires on it. The tranny has no issues at all. It runs solid, no need of anything but standard filter and fluid change recommended during install. I believe this is a short shaft, it was in my Suncoupe and was a correct fit. Hey Briz if it helps... If you need a long tailshaft for your riv I have a parts TH400 from a riv, long tailshaft and extension housing. I can send them to you for the cost of shipping and maybe you could swap them onto the trans? Just tryin to help. Let me know Ken G.
Im pretty sure the trans in the Riv and Lark are both short. Only difference is the Riv has a smaller yolk that slids into the trans. I had to change the tail on the trans thats in the Lark. That one came from my Riv parts car. Post some pics and your preferd method of payment. Brunswik is not to far north from Valdosta.

After looking at the map it looks like your not far from Jacksonville. That would be the 1/2 way point between us.
I know exactly where you are Briz... I have been there many times working at the cancer center. I occassionally get caught working on a down machine and have to stay due to waiting on parts to arrive in the AM like right now. As for payment, you can give me cash when we meet and you are happy with the trans, or PP. If you PP and the funds come out of checking - just put it as a gift and there are no fees. This is a jam up trans. I have ridden in and driven the car with this trans in it and it performs perfectly.
