I shoulda taken pics of: -- Phil's sweet 89 Turbo Trans Am (Buick GN's rarely seen Pontiac love child). -- An unrestored beater Olds W-30. -- Some dude's daily driver 89 Pontiac 6000 wagon. (Pretty funny, but hey, he's cool.) But my kids says using my phone is " like taking pictures with a toaster", and I'm lazy, so there ya go.
Interesting side note. I spoke with the owner of this car and he is probably more Buick than most of us in here. His father worked 20+ years at Buick in Flint. Dads last position before retirement was in the headlight dept. This guy would tag along with dad to his area in final assembly and hang out on the line watching the cars roll by. His father bought the Wildcat shown before it was built and oversaw some of the assembly. Nice Story
Docgsx -- Didn't realize until afterwards that you couldn't make it. Kept looking for that W-30 of yours thinking I had missed it, or it was off to the side somewhere, or it was late and was just now showing up, etc. etc. At least searching for it gave me something to do.
unfortunately, we did not make it. Things just didn’t drop into place for us. the Car is still a part in the garage. We were certainly looking forward to see all you guys! More so than the cars.
Yes, The car with the phone is a 1972 Pontiac SSJ with the "El Clasico" treatment package. Amongst other options, this car had a Hurst Digital Computer by Harmon (Yes, a digital computer in 1972!), sunroof, Hurst Auto Security Alarm system, Wheel Option: 3 (the American Racing aluminum wheels), mobile telephone, wet bar and a Refrigerator (mounted in the truck, but accessible through the back seat). Way ahead of it's time in 1972!
The aftermarket Wisco ElClassico package kind of ruins this car, would have been perfect without it. The original owner must have really had a need to be seen complex
This Riviera is beyond bad a##. Beautiful car. Beautiful custom touches. Rivi's should have been available with that hood setup. Awesome thought and execution. Huge props.
wish I would of had a picture when he turned it sideways behind me.....just awesome! waterboy's son must have crapped his pants riding shotgun
Always gotta be ready. Tire smoking power slide is only just a tap of the gas peddle away. Have to really restrain myself most of the time.
