hello, the rear axle which i could buy is very heavy for shipping.:dollar: now i can get a borg warner posi unit out of a 64 skylark - this should fit without any problems my 65 skylark - or not ? i will use my old gears - only the posi to change. so i don`t need a cage or something ...? thanks for any help ! michael:beers2:
Michael, I think we ansered this? Oh or maybe it was a PM. If both rears are integeral (rear inspection cover) then yes you should be good as long as the carrier both use the same series carrier. IE 3.08 old carrier 3.23 posi carrier will interchange. 28 spline . If one rear is a front drop out IE ford 9" ) and the other is rear inspection cover integral housing then probably will not work.
