just wanted to thank everyone that was at the bpg nats and had a good time. I wanted to thank all of my competitors that i had to race to win the final round. I had a great time racing Rod, John schmidt, Larry Clark jr, the zerucha's, Doug of course, and Geoff ketchum and everyone else. We had a great time and it is nice to race and hangout with such nice people and competitors. I wanted to thank all of my sponsors and all of my family and friends that help me out and all of the buick racers in general because off the track everyone is friendly and it seems like it is not a competition but racers having fun. I want to thank Doug Hecker for letting me get the best wheel stand of my life. I wish i could have rode it out to see what the car would have ran. I got a lot nervous though. ( car is totally different than mine) I also want to thank the best crew chief in the world my dad. without him i could have done this. see ya there next year. john jr

While we're congratulating both Pops and Little John for a great victory.....Let's not forget that other little milestone they passed out at Quaker! John Sr. took his first pass EVER in Jr's Skyhawk and went an awsesome 9.15!! :TU: Not too shabby for a guy whose fastest pass up to that point was a 10.90 run in Jr's White GS several years ago. Way to go Johnny! Of course we all had to nag the hell out of him to get him to do it. But he came around. Or he just wanted us to shut the hell up! :laugh:

I'm not sure your heart could take it. When a fella gets to an advanced age, and after enduring all those Arctic winters up in Kanadia, he doesn't have much left in him. I'd hate to send you over the edge. :laugh:
