Thanks Alan....I didn't get to watch as much as wanted when I was there,I spent alot of Saturday under the Car,Even missed 1st rd. of qualifying.

If you have any of Sunday,Can you see if you got my Car?
My Sunday morning pass was next to Geof Ketchum in his Red/White Regal tube chassis car.
I know it was a turd,But I'd like to see how it looked.

    Thanks!

Hey ... My pleasure guys !!

Gary - I'll take a look. Was it early sunday morning ? Second round of qualifying ?? S8 or Q16 ??

Im SURE I have it - there weren't many runs that I didn't tape on all 4 days and Im pretty sure I got Every run on Sunday.....but thats the problem. Its easy for me to spot cars I know like Rick and Rob running each other as I've been around theirS and other NE Chapter cars forever.

I haven't even begun to actually watch all the stuff yet- Im still transferring it all from tape into the PC and I happen to spot cars I recognize. every now and then IF im watching the monitor as it transfers.

It'll all come together shortly - I'll look Monday for you when Im back in my office. :TU: :beer

It was Sunday AM Q16 qualifying....Black 70 Skylark,I was in the Left lane and went 9.75 next to Geof's Regal which went 9.12.

    Rob
I've always thought 2 tenths when comparing Street Eliminators to "Maxed Out" Iron Heads......So now when you consider the Stage3 intake ports and their capability.......3 tenths is probably pretty close....

Just think,Rick was 3 tenths faster than you in Salem at 9.40's,You were 3 tenths off your best,Could we see some 9-teens from Rick in October???

    Doug,

I'm just starting to have fun again with only having 9 passes on the engine.

I am real thankful for Rob Chilenski, Jim Weise, John Csordas, Steve Reynolds, Mike Tomaszeski (sp) for helping me get the engine back together and running strong. And of course you, for your moral support as a good friend and for spending my money

As with the glide, sorry there is no way I'm laying up the car...well at least not until winter:Brow: Anyway Doug if I switch to a glide now, then I need a converter and shifter and no doubt different gears and spend a bunch of time setting things up at the track$$$. And you know then I would have to bump you and Rob down on the money food chain.... :eek2: I'm almost in the black, need about another month and I'll be clear and free.

Maybe if I can get it into the low teens at Cecil, that may get the juices flowing over the winter, being I will be pulling the engine out to have the mains and rod bearings checked. Hope so...

    A) You need a convertor anyway. Might as well do it once and get one with the correct stall for the 'glide. I did it, so can you!

    B) Your cheetah shifter will work just fine. You'll probably just need a block-off plate for the bottom of the pattern and maybe a different pattern gate. I did it, so can you!

    C) You might need 4.56s. I did it, so can you!

Rick, Ya see where I'm going with this?

Adam.....give the man alittle more than Crumbs to feed on :spank:

There was a BEEEE-Utilful 69/70 Blue WildCat convert. that was just about perfect in every way.... saw it in the hotel parking lot when I arrived and duely drooled over it every time I walked past.

.....next to be seen frequently flogged on the strip over and over and over again !!!

I dont think I ever did get to talk with the owner though :Do No:

    hey,
glad to know there was at least one there.

i was thinking of painting my 69 blue.
#51 twilight blue. when i got the car it was like a faded to orange/red which had been color matched and repainted. the original color was #61 burnished brown.

i was thinking about getting the video of the NAT
to see what i have been missing, maybe i will see it there.

if a sportwagan can pull a wheelie,
    can a wildcat

    see ya
