I am looking for one of these brackets that is used to attached the spring on a 4 speed set up. Is the bracket reproduced for other A-body cars? Does anyone have a better picture on the end that attaches to the frame. I can start a thread in parts wanted but want some input first. Thank you

The bracket your looking for was part of a big block clutch fork. And I believe only a few forks got the bracket. Which is welded on. I've probably had maybe 6 or 8 BB forks pass through my hands and none had the bracket on them.

What I use is the hole in the clevis pin as an attachment point on the fork end if it's a BB fork. On a small block, there's a drilled hole in the end of the fork

Here's the pic from the assembly manual to make it a little clearer. Disregard my booger hook

As far as the attachment on the frame- the factory spring is rather short and the assembly manual says to attach it to a hole in the side of the frame. If you attach it the way the factory wants, it's kind of at an angle and not working directly opposite of the forks travel if thst makes any sense to you.

What I've been doing, and it works very well, is go to your local auto parts store and get a dorman clutch return spring assortment. In the assortment is a rather long spring of the same wire thickness.

One end I have attached to the clevis pin, the other goes straight to the back of the engine cradle

Thank you for information. This is a big block car and whoever restored the car drilled a hole in the lower a-frame. This where the spring is hooked. It seems to be at a weird angle and when I saw the picture, I figured it was missing the bracket.
