hey now, I resemble that car:TU: BTW it is a body work poster child and there is a "little" filler on that beast.
I gave that car to a guy a couple years ago who promised to never let it get into the hands of a crusher. I took all BUICK drivetrain I had in it out. I ran into him later and he was going to put a C#(^@Y in it ot get it back on the road:af:
Mark, I think you e-mailed me that photo, and I posted it for you a few years ago, as you couldn't for some reason. Good looking car!
Oh yes, that rings a bell, nice work..I recall having issues with oversized pics attaching to posts back in the day...! That was a VERY fun street car as it only weighed 3200 lbs with driver!! It HOOKED so hard to the pavement!!! The fresh hypo 474 cid BBB , 4:11 posi with a 4K SP rear played with street bikes from light to light and embarrased new Vettes and Importjunk at will. Most street cars were snacks AT BEST and getting a car to line up on the street and go with it was not easy as a 105A cam was not a sleeper.....:beers2: A most memorable run in '95 was with a brand new PONTIAC GTA 350 running red line bobbing in and out of morning rush hour down 520 from Bellevue to Redmond; about 7 miles and I thought those 4:11's were gonna pop that BBB for sure...nope:TU: When I had a small window to WOT it it pulled away like a snot going backwards! (That 70 mill is in my vert right now having been rebuilt in 07 with a bit more gittyupandgo.) The SLOWEST ET slip I have on that car is 13.0 flat which was on full tank of pump crap gas, street radial tires , drove 45 min to the track and right into staging and ran it:eek2: The best I ran that car at a track was 11.90 with 1.60 60' time with drag T/A's. I do have a full detailed photo record of that beast....and still have the receiptsou:
