It's time to invest in a "quality" polisher/buffer. I'm looking for a complete kit with all the necessary pads/gadgets included. It can be electric or air powered(?).

With 5 vehicles and three step waxes it's time to get smart about this task. :Dou:
Thanks for any info as always.

Electric would be the way to go,I've had a makita for 8 years now and i've only replaced the brushes twice, no other service needed

Meguiars sells complete kits. I bought one last year and can't complain one bit polishing, cleaning, waxing our 2 toyotas. The buffer is truly a buffer, not an angle grinder tuned down. Impossible to burn the paint in other words.

My brother has both an air powered & electric buffer........the air powered one sits in a shelf - unused!!

Buy an electric one - you can always find an outlet. You won't always be near an air line.

Only other thing that you'll replace on the electric unit, is the trigger. And that's only after quite a bit of use.

You'll want to keep several pads on hand. Have one for the rougher grit and one for polishing. Don't forget the little hand held 'spur' looking tool - for cleaning out the pad.

    Mother's Power Ball?

What's the verdict on "Mother's Power Ball"? Has anyone bought it, or have any experience with it? Is there anything else along the same lines out there? I must confess that I find the idea of no air hose or electrical cord, using buffing & polishing attachments on my cordless drill rather appealing!!
