Buford???

    I was watching hot rod tv tonight and they were putting an MSD Billet distributor, coil and wires on a Buick 455. He called it a Buford? Where does this term come from? Did someone put a Buick motor in a Ford?

    I think it started back in the 50's when nailheads started showing up in place of flatheads...a better idea!

    Yeh, I always thought it sounded silly but then I'm not a fan of nick names for cars.

    Thats were I first saw it and you know how they like to use cute euphemisms!

    Yes, I understand it is an old nickname as well.

    I actually like it.

    It'd be a great name for a Bloodhound.
