Lou,I think you are referring to the treads for the heather hose.In the Elderbrock its by the firewall,on the stock manifold,it's on the front by the passenger side. You most likely have the short tube, copper, were the heater hose goes in.In case you misplased,if you are using the heath,I have a few.Bruno.

Here's a couple of photos of the back of my manifold. I'd like to block off the rather large water outlet on back of the manifold. Will I do any harm to the water flow by doing that? Thanks, Lou

I have never seen a Edelbrock like that before, the back looks like the front.Do you have a picture of the other ?Bruno.

Here's a few photos of the front of my engine. I spoke to a tech at Edelbrock and he said the outlet is for the heater. Someone else on this forum advised I can delete the outlet and pick up the water supply for the heater elsewhere without any effect to the engine's cooling. You can block off the outlet. It won't affect anything as far as cooling. The Edelbrock 455 intakes have an outlet in the same spot. The 68-69 engines had a screw in heater control valve that went there. Actually, it might be simpler for you to use that rear port, might make for a cleaner installation.

Larry, thanks for your input. The reason I don't want to use that outlet is the engine is in my '78 Lotus Esprit which is a forward facing mid engine configuration. So, when you're looking at the engine you see the back of it and I'm thinking it would look nicer/neater/cleaner without a valve and hose there. I'll fabricate an aluminum plate and gasket and seal it up. Thanks again! Lou
