I have a 1968 Skylark with a 1969 buick 350 in it. At 3000 rpm's I have a bad bogg. I changed the plugs and 3,4,5,6 is runing good and 1,2,7,8 is runing lean. what is it?:ball: :ball:

when your lower end is rapping, always check the torque converter bolts first! You may get lucky and they've come lose. Always check for the free fix first. I hope you get lucky on this!

which intake is good. TA Performance Stage 1 or Poston S-Divider.

Most people seem to prefer the TA intake, but in my opinion, unless you have the cam, exhaust and head work to back it up, you're probably not gonna see much gain for the money spent. I've even heard of people going a little faster with the stock 4-barrel manifold over the aftermarket ones.

i took the motor out thursday and stripped it apart. one of the main berrings was making all the racket. the block and heads are going to the machine shop monday.

Factory spec is 4* btdc. Try bringing the advance up to 10* initial. That is WITHOUT the vac advance hooked up. Make sure the port in the car is plugged where the vac advance plugs into. Set your timing then. After you're finished, plug the vac advance up and see how it runs.
