The motor idles at about 900, 750 in gear. It has a nice hearty lope. I've driven it to Norwalk and ran 11.50's, and drove it home. I can get it crated, shrunk wrapped, and shipped no problem.
that is a great deal when you figure the current cost for TA heads, roller rockers and the other parts. please don't hold a place in line for me.
Jan has the engine courtesy held thru next Wednesday. The engine is still in the car, and I told Jan he'd get air cleaner thru pan, fan thru flywheel, alternator including a new Tilton high torqu starter with 20 cranks on it. There's plenty of 10 second runs in this motor to be turned loose. Doc said no more racing after my neck surgery. I'm building an all iron 400, selling the Coan 3800 and have Janis put in about 2800, and have Monaza Jim put in some 3.55 gears and prepare to get old with the car. Going quick was addictive, oh well, another thing to add to the "kicked" list..
