Buick 455 engine oil dip stick

Hello all,

Looking for a 1970 Buick 455 engine oil dip stick. I understand there may two versions. Please let me know what you have.

Should have the bayonette style.

 

I have the one that does not use the tube.

 

Thanks for your reply's Jim and Fred. May be interested in both. Can one of you tell me which one is "correct" for and early 70? I am led to believe that there were two versions used. One with a tube and one without.

 

I believe that the A body used the tube type, and upper series used the bayonette.

 

Cheers, I looked in the assembly manual for 70, Looks like power brake A body cars got the tube.(to get around the brake booster) Tim

There is something about the tips on the handle also. There are red tips and white tips. Can anyone shed some light on that?
