Here is where my GSX came from : Bill Price Buick in Burlington NC . Used to be a Hudson , Studebaker Packard dealer . Moved to another location outside of the center of Burlington
The Burlington Newspaper was across the street . These pictures are about 6 years old now. I called the newspaper looking for information about Bill Price Buick and an Editor told me he would take some pictures of it and send them to me. It appears that they were a Hudson dealer and when Hudson went out of business in the mid 50's they went to Packard who eventually went out of business in the late 50's so I guess they went to Studebaker who went out in the mid 60's . I assume they went to Buick then. Not sure when they moved to the new location on the outskirts of Burlington. If any one know anything please let me know. I did call the new location but there wasn't anyone there that was old enough to tell me much. One person on this site Jay Adams sent me dealer emblem . Great guy . Like I said these pictures are about 6 years old. At that time it was a furniture store. Today ???????
Very nice! With the Hudson, Studebaker & Packard etched in the building facade definitely makes it worth preserving...
When I was a kid there were a fair number of folks in my area that drove Packards. When Packard finally flopped, virtually every one of them started driving Buicks. Apparently Buick filled the same demographic slot as Packard.
