Guys, I live in Dallas, Texas, and I have been working on my 72 Skylark fora couple of years now. My wife let her cousing drive my Mustang and he rolled in, totalling it. So I need to finish off the Buick soon. I am needing the following work done in a freaking hurry!!! 1 - Paint and Body - a few minor rust spots that can be cut out and fitted with new sheet metal. body filler and painted...... I need the motor rebuilt and a new tranny put in... (if someone in the area knows where i can get a working 455, that would be awesome) I need the disc brake conversion kits installed I then can do the interior action at a later time....but I need it to drive in the Texas heat...good thing I got factory air!!! Thanks Wil
TA Perf has 455s that should be ready to ship quickly, they would probably want yours on exchange. How bad is your engine right now? Can you use it to drive, even though it isnt' perfect? -Bob C.
http://www.paeenterprises.com/paeframe.html Jim Burek is based over in El Paso. you might want to give him a call and see what he's got around. http://www.trishieldperf.com/ Tri-Shield is in Minnesota but you might give Jim Weisse a call as well.
lspbc.org great bunch of guys, many of them will help you out. David newton is on the board frequently.. he should be able to tell you where he got his gs painted.
I'm not really in your area so to speak, but I know the route there all too well. Just made that trip in fact. Anywaysssss, I am about to pull a complete good(!!!) running late model 455" that I am gonna be listing for sale. It's in a big car so it has everything on it(power steering, air). And I could get anything else you need off it. If your interested let me know and we'll see what we can work out. Would be tough for me to drive the whole way there and back to deliver it, but we could work something out and meet in Wichita maybe for gas money. Let me know if interested, buickdav at yahoo.com
