Do you need a special tool to get that stupid clip off the fuel line so you can change the fuel filter. I can't get it to budge!!! Than ks for any help.

Me again. Forgot to say that it is on a 1995 Park Avenue. The clip that holds the filter to the fuel line will not budge. Need special tool?

They do make a special tool for them.
I changed the one on my wife's '96 LeSabre a few months ago and that end you speak of came off easily with simple hand tools. Though I can't remember exactly what I used, and the car isn't here for me to peek at to jog my memory. :Dou:

The other end with the flare fitting was the one that made me pray, after 7 MN salt laiden winters.
You should be able to pick one of those tools up at a good auto parts store if yours is particularly stubborn. I doubt they cost much.

By the way, Welcome to the board Tom! :beer

A needle nose pliers keeps coming to mind.

If this is the one you are talking about.....[IMG]

a pocket sized flat blade screw driver can be helpful to get the locking tab to squeeze just a little bit more inwards.
