Shane , I would gladly take a grille painted the wrong color for 400.00 . I have sold a few NOS grilles and they almost all went over 1000.00 . I think its great that you are helping bring down the cost of Buick GS parts . I have seen the GSCA grille and I thought it was ok at best for 500.00 and not painted ! I also bought 2 side marker lights NOS for over 200.00 . I wish everyone could just take a breath and relax . The fact that you are trying to make these parts is awsome . I know its a business and a good business needs to make money . With all the Buicks I own needing something I hope you don't stop reproducing and I hope you don't stop making a profit . As I see it the more you make the more parts you can repo . The possibility that I might be able to get affordable , wheel houses , convert quarters , door skins ect makes me giddy . I think that you will see a increase in buyers when the parts are there to restore . I have been buying NOS for a resto and its killing me . I have friends with the brand x cars that just freak when I tell them the cost of our parts . Come on Ebay fenders for 2200.00 . The GS that can net you 50K will cost you twice that in resto costs .
Keep up the good work .

Unbelievable. We should be damn happy anyone is trying to reproduce these parts. I understand they made a mistake. They understand they made a mistake. Lets move on. By the way, thanks parts place for making an effort to make some well needed parts. Please keep it up.

I just got back from Florida and had time to read this post. I am amazed at all of this. Once I found out my grill was the wrong color in the Buick world's eyes, I took it back off and painted it the correct colors. Some masking paper, 1/8" 3m tape, and some mixed 3m tape, all which I had. I had the correct paint from other projects. Took about 2 hours total including putting it on and off the car. What is the big deal? Frustration is paying for 2 GSCA grills a year ago $1100 in Feb of 05, and still not having them. So the first run of a new product was not perfect, what a shock. I have never had a problem with the Parts Place, but I treat people how I want to be treated. Usually when I do act like a rude ass, that is what I get back. I have had so many positive experiences on this website, and made some good friends, but I have seen more of the ugly side of this hobby than I ever care too. Tony Christie

BigBlock68 Love that old car smell.

    Shane,

Just got the washer fluid bottle I ordered for my '68 GS a couple days ago, and I'm extremely pleased with it. Keep up the good work.

P.S. Anyone complaining about a REPRODUCTION part with an error is an idiot since even some of the factory components would vary in color, appearance, ect. These cars wern't perfect from the factory 30+ years ago, so why should they be now? It's the imperfections that make these cars fun.
