Howdy, I'm looking into purchasing a car to be used on the Hot Rod Powertour 2006 as such I'd one that runs and drives without a ton of work being done to it even if it smokes a bit on startup from just being plain old. Since this car is a long term project I'd like to start with something with little to no rust on it with atleast decent paint. I'm looking at buying one of the following models 61 2dr Bubbletop or 4dr Wagon 64-65 Riviera (sorry no dynaflow '63's) 64-67 Special Wagon 64-67 Sportwagon Money isn't tight but I can't spend a mint, considering I'm looking for a solid start to a project I can afford a max of $6500 realistically. Thanks,
Want a car with S_T_Y_L_E ??? One that NO ONE else will ever show up in ?? I've seen this one come up on Ebay several times, and each time I think "Man, would THAT be a cool Kustom ride ...." http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ndexURL=9&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting
I saw a nicely restored 2 door 60 Invicta recently rechromed bumpers and all. It is not what you specified but a nice piece. The guy wanted 15K but I suspect will take less.
Cool yes, what I am looking for no. Mainly because the 60s still have closed drivelines so updating engine and transmission stuff is a chore without going to a different rear end or atleast 3rd member. 61 also is a unique combination of open driveline and rear sump oilpan if my chassis manual is correct on that issue. Thanks,
You know there isn't much around here, especially this time of year. But check this one out. Looks like a spot on match to what you are looking for and at the exact price. http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/1/4/80918714.htm
Saw this one in the local trader HERE Looks like a good deal if its in good shape.......2 4's ..... might be worth looking into :beer
Actually I've looked into both of those. That nice one for $6500 is already gone, bought by a new board member. The one on the outskirts of Columbus is a bit rusty... a bit too rusty for my tastes actually with some work needed around both rear wheel wells and the hood kind of doinked up. Too bad though.
